From Komodo to Bali - The crossing of the five islands

Our thrilling motorcycle journey begins on the magical, lush island of Bali, known as the “Island of the Gods.” It’s a captivating destination that enchants travelers with its diverse landscapes and rich culture. Exploring it by motorcycle is a unique experience that allows you to immerse yourself in the island’s natural beauty and uncover its hidden treasures.

From Bali, we fly to the island of Flores to begin our overland route back to Bali. On a private boat, we visit the Komodo National Park to see the famous Komodo dragons and enjoy the crystal-clear waters filled with colorful coral reefs.

We then take a ferry to the neighboring island of Sumbawa, riding along magnificent roads through almost untouched nature. From there, we cross to Lombok before completing our journey back in Bali — celebrating our incredible adventure across these five magical islands.

A route of approximately 1,400 km, about 95% on paved roads.

Day 1: Arrival of your international flight in Bali, Denpasar. From Denpasar Airport, transfer to our hotel in southern Bali. Group meeting and briefing with your guide in the afternoon at the hotel. Overnight in southern Bali.

Day 2: Bali – Flores. Domestic flight. Reception at Flores airport and transfer to the hotel. Flores welcomes you with its rugged coastline and mountain landscapes – the start of the adventure in reverse direction. Afternoon to relax, get familiar with the area, or take a short walk if time allows. Overnight in Flores.

Day 3: Flores – Komodo – Bima (private boat + minibus transfer). Early departure by speedboat to navigate among small islands, with snorkeling stops in crystal-clear waters. Visit Komodo to see the legendary dragons and walk through the park’s trails. After disembarking at Badjo Port, continue by road to Bima. First contact with our motorcycles and support team. Arrival in the afternoon. Overnight in Bima.

Day 4: Bima – Mojo. A long and varied day on the bike: roads through tropical vegetation, coastal stretches, and inland passages across Sumbawa. Arrival at a seaside resort facing Mojo Island to rest after the day’s ride. Overnight near Mojo.

Day 5: Mojo – boat trip and whale shark diving (no riding today). Early morning departure to experience swimming with whale sharks in their natural habitat — a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Return to the resort late morning and free afternoon to explore the island or relax by the pool. Overnight near Mojo.

Day 6: Mojo area – South Sumbawa (approx. 5 hrs). Today we take perhaps the most scenic road of the trip: about 100 km of winding curves through tropical forests and remote landscapes. A relaxed ride to our seaside accommodation in southern Sumbawa. Overnight in South Sumbawa.

Day 7: South Sumbawa – West Lombok. Breakfast and morning ferry to cross from Sumbawa to Lombok. Cruise through turquoise waters, then ride around Mount Rinjani towards the island’s northeast. Stop to admire the Sendang Gile waterfall and its lush jungle surroundings. End the day at Klui Beach — an oceanfront oasis perfect for unwinding and watching the sunset. Overnight in Klui.

Day 8: Klui Beach – Kuta (Lombok) (approx. 4 hrs). Coastal ride southwards, passing through the Mandalika Circuit (a must-stop for photos). Arrival in Kuta with its surfer vibe and wild beaches; free time to surf or stroll along the coast. Overnight in Kuta.

Day 9: Kuta – Bali. Early ferry to Bali; during the crossing, the mountains and rice terraces of Bali reappear on the horizon. After arriving, continue to Ubud through tropical scenery and rice fields. Ubud, in the heart of Bali, is a cultural oasis rich in art and nature, dotted with sacred temples and hidden shrines. Its vibrant art scene, galleries, and performances make it a unique destination. Overnight in Ubud.

Day 10: Exploring Ubud surroundings (approx. 4h30). Ride through the jungle and tropical vegetation around Ubud, then follow routes over the lava slopes of an extinct volcano. Overnight in Ubud.

Day 11: Bali. Transfer to our hotel in southern Bali. Free day to relax and enjoy the beaches. Evening in Kuta to celebrate the end of our extraordinary journey. Overnight in Bali, Kuta.

Day 12: Departure. Transfer from the hotel to the airport according to your flight schedule. End of our services.
