Day 1 Arrival of the group's various flights at Kilimanjaro Airport, Arusha. Meeting with the group and the support team that will accompany us throughout the trip. Dinner and night in Arusha.

Day 2 Arusha – Matadi (4h30). Morning departure and first contact with our motorcycles as we cover the opening kilometres, alternating between tarmac and tracks around Mount Meru, where we will pass the first Maasai tribal villages. We finish at our hotel on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, with a breathtaking view of the most famous peak on the African continent. Night in Enduimet Park.

Day 3 Matadi – Enduimet Wildlife Reserve (5h). After breakfast, we head off-road into our first wildlife reserve. Enduimet is a magical place situated on the plains of the elephant corridor between Kenya and Tanzania — an ideal spot for sighting giraffes, elephants and other animals of the region. We explore it all from the saddle of our motorcycles and spend the night at our luxury resort in traditional African-style tents, reminiscent of Out of Africa. Night in Enduimet Park.

Day 4 Enduimet – Lake Natron (6h30). A long day on the tracks across desert plains to Lake Natron. Along the way we encounter an abundance of wildlife — ostriches, giraffes, zebras and wildebeest grazing on the grasslands at the foot of the volcanoes near Lake Natron. Lunch en route. Night at Lake Natron.

Day 5 Lake Natron – Karatu (6h). In the morning we take in the multitude of birds and flamingos on the lake before heading towards Ngorongoro, riding deep into the Tanzanian savannah teeming with wildlife and enjoying the spectacular views of the still-active Ol Doinyo Lengai volcano. We follow the great escarpment of the Rift Valley — the cradle of the earliest hominids more than two million years ago. Night in Karatu.

Day 6 Visit to the Ngorongoro Crater. A true jewel of nature, this caldera is home to an exceptional animal ecosystem with an astonishing concentration of wildlife. Spanning 20 kilometres in diameter and more than 600 metres in depth, it provides a breathtaking setting where animal life thrives in a remarkable balance. In addition to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhinoceros), we will have the chance to spot a wide variety of other species. Night in Karatu.

Day 7 Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara – Lake Tarangire. Departure after breakfast along the track and road that descends from the Ngorongoro plateau to Lake Manyara. We then take a track along the lake, crossing herds of gazelles, wildebeest and zebras, before heading off-road to connect with Tarangire. Arrival at our resort near the park. Night in Tarangire.

Day 8 Lake Tarangire – Arusha. Optional extra: Visit to Tarangire Elephant Park. A last chance to see elephants — and without doubt one of the finest places to do so. After lunch, we set off on what will be our final leg on the motorcycles, bidding farewell to the savannah and its wildlife as we return along tarmac roads to Arusha, re-immersing ourselves in the bustle of the city. Night in Arusha.

Day 9 International flight departures. Depending on your flight schedule, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a few last hours in Arusha before being transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport.

Trip duration
Arrival/departure airport: Your international flight must arrive and depart from Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO), which has better international connectivity. Arusha Airport is recommended for domestic flights only. We recommend using Skyscanner to search for flights. Meeting point: Arusha, on Day 1.
Non-riding companions: Those who do not ride a motorcycle may join the trip exclusively in the support vehicle that accompanies the group.

Visa
European and American citizens require a visa to travel to Tanzania. To obtain an e-visa online, visit the official Tanzanian government website here.
However, regulations change frequently and it is the client's responsibility to verify the visa requirements applicable to their nationality with the nearest consulate or embassy, or via this link.
Climate
During the season of our tour, average temperatures in Tanzania range from 22°C to 26°C, with highs that can reach 30°C and lows of around 21°C. At this time of year we enjoy sunny days with very little or no chance of rain. High-SPF sun protection, sunglasses and gloves are recommended. Road conditions and riding in Tanzania
Approximately 1,700 km, predominantly on off-road tracks, requiring an intermediate level of off-road riding ability. Tracks include sand, loose stone and some sandy sections. This tour is not recommended for riders without off-road track experience.
1* Bookings are made in strict order of reservation date. This means that if you book at the last minute, you may need to opt for a single room if there is no one else to share a double with. The earlier you book, the greater your chances of being in a double room.
2* Travel assistance insurance covering motorcycle use is mandatory. This may already be included with your credit card or car/motorcycle insurance policy. This type of insurance covers medical expenses abroad and repatriation by air in the event of illness or accident.
